A Hook Bolt is an industrial fastener in the shape of the letter J, with a metal hook at one end and threaded shaft at the other enabling this to be fitted into a variety of different surfaces. Hook Bolts can be used in a range of applications including supporting pipework, attaching a part of a beam or wall, agriculture and livestock trailers, boat trailers, fence posts, installation of TV aerials and satellite dishes as well as many more applications.
These bolts are also known as roof bolts, wire tensioning straining bolts and hook bolts.
The threaded shaft of the bolt is designed to be used with nuts and washers.
Our Hook Bolts are electro-plated as standard. We carry out this process on all our bolts to protect against rust, corrosion and moisture. This also ensures that our customers receive a smooth and brighter finish for a high quality appearance.
Our Hook Bolts are measured from the top of the straight length of the bolt to the bottom of the thread. Please see attached information on measuring Hook Bolts prior to your order.
Our J Hook Bolts come supplied with Dowty Spat Sealing Washers, also known as Roof Sealing Washers. These Dowty Sealing Washers are manufactured from black thermoplastic LDPE and will create a weatherproof seal when fitted correctly.
